Maine Thermostat Legislation

In February 2006, PSI mediated the development of innovative mercury thermostat legislation that includes a financial incentive for contractors and homeowners to return thermostats in the state of Maine. The Governor of Maine signed the bill into law on April 14, 2006. The new law includes multiple product stewardship components.
