Paint Companies with Green Seal Certification
Metro Paint 1st Recipient of Green Seal Recycled Paint Certification
In August 2007, Metro Paint, the Northwest’s only 100% recycled paint manufacturer, became the first paint operation in the nation to receive Green Seal certification for its recycled paint. Metro Regional Government in Oregon, a founding PSI member, manufactures Metro Paint. The recycled paint standard, which was developed by PSI and Green Seal, is aimed at assuring consumers that recycled paint, in addition to being environmentally beneficial, can perform as well as virgin paint. Other recycled paint manufacturers are expected to follow Metro’s example.
