An act to amend the Federal Water Pollution Act to authorize appropriations for State water pollution control revolving funds, and for other purposes.

 HR 3202 - Water Protection and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Blumenauer)

An act to establish a Water Protection and Reinvestment Fund to support investments in clean water and drinking water infrastructure, and for other purposes.

  • Provides drug take-back grants to establish programs to collect prescription and over-the-counter drugs from the public; and dispose of the drugs in an environmentally sound manner.
  • Prohibits the labeling of drugs and biological products with recommendations to flush drugs down the toilet.
  • Imposes a pharmaceutical tax of 0.5%
