Product Stewardship will be the primary focus for the first 2 to 3 years of implemention of Australian Government's recently developed National Waste Policy. The Australian Government appointed the Global Product Stewardship Council (GPSC) to the new Stakeholder Reference Group to advise the Government on development of framework legislation for product stewardship. One of GPSC’s goals is to harmonize product stewardship policies internationally. PSI is a Founding Board Member of the GPSC and on its Executive Committee. |
