Mike Younis has been with PSI for over three years. Mike currently leads several projects including an evaluation of EPR programs with an emphasis on Oregon’s paint stewardship program, a paper source reduction initiative in two communities in Massachusetts and a statewide project that examines how to maximize the use of existing voluntary take-back programs, and local government coordination efforts in Illinois, Oklahoma, and Florida. Mike is the point for paint, phone books, radioactive devices, medical sharps, and gas cylinders. Before PSI, Mike graduated cum laude from the Boston University School of Management with a degree in business administration. Mike concentrated in finance and corporate law and holds a minor in environmental analysis and policy. While studying abroad at the University of Auckland, Mike interned for Oxfam New Zealand researching climate change in pacific small island developing states. Mike also works as an American Mountain Guides Association certified rock climbing instructor and enjoys the outdoors.
