  • The Pacific Northwest Regional Pesticide Coordinating Committee is working in the Pacific Northwest to promote pesticide-reduction strategies, coordinate messages in public outreach efforts, and set priorities to focus the otherwise-dispersed efforts of state and local governments. Participants include Oregon and Washington state environmental agencies, local county and city governments such as Portland Metro, Thurston and King Counties, City of Seattle, the Local Hazardous Waste Management Program in King County, as well as some NGOs and consultants. David Stitzhal of the Northwest Product Stewardship Council facilitates this group, which meets monthly in Seattle, including conference call connections.   • The Ag Container Recycling Coalition (ACRC) is a non-profit organization that safely collects and recycles plastic pesticide containers. The ACRC is fully funded by member companies and affiliates that formulate, produce, package, and distribute crop protection and other pesticide products.
