The main entrance to the CT DEEP Headquarters, including disabled entrance access, is located at 79 Elm Street. Visitors entering the building must pass through a security screening. Please arrive early to allow sufficient time to pass through security and registration, and note that a valid ID may be required for entry.
The meeting will take place in the McCarthy Auditorium on the 5th floor of the building. CT DEEP staff will be available to direct you to the meeting location.
Breakfast refreshments will be served from 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., and lunch will be provided to all attendees.
The CT DEEP Headquarters is located at 79 Elm Street in downtown Hartford at the southern end of Bushnell Park between West St. and Clinton St. See a Map of Area.
Walking from the Hilton Hartford
Walk south on Trumbull Street toward Church Street. Turn left onto Jewell Street / Trumbull Street and cross to Bushnell Park. Walk across the park to Elm Street. Turn right onto Elm Street. 79 Elm Street is one half block up on the left.
By Public Transit
Union Station is located at 1 Union Square, just an 8 min. walk across Bushnell Park from the CT DEEP Headquarters. Amtrak and various local and regional bus lines will drop you here in Hartford.
From West of Hartford: Get on I-84 East: Take exit 48, “Capitol Avenue.” At light at end of ramp, take left onto Capitol Avenue. Go past the State Capitol and at the second light take left onto Trinity Street. Take right at next light onto Elm Street. 79 Elm is one block down on the right, at the corner of Elm Street and Clinton Street.
From East of Hartford: Get on I-84 West: Take exit 48, “Asylum Avenue.” At light at end of ramp, take a left and get in the right hand lane. Bear right with the road through three traffic lights. Stay in the right lane and continue following Jewell Street around Bushnell Park to Pulaski Circle (a rotary). Make first right off the rotary onto Elm Street. (Bushnell Park will now be on your right.) 79 Elm Street is one and one half blocks up on the left.
From South of Hartford: get on I-91 North: Take exit 29A, “Capitol Area” (left exit). Keep left. Follow Whitehead Highway to Pulaski Circle (a rotary.) Continue halfway around the rotary and take a right onto Elm Street. 79 Elm Street is one and one half blocks up on the left.
From North of Hartford: get on 1-91 South: Take exit 29A, “Capitol Area.” Keep left. Follow Whitehead Highway to Pulaski Circle (a rotary.) Continue halfway around the rotary and take right onto Elm Street. 79 Elm Street is one and one half blocks up on the left.
Automobile: Limited on-street metered parking is available on Clinton Street and Elm Street. Paid lots are available on West Street and Hudson Street.

Bicycle: A bicycle rack for public use is located on the sidewalk outside the main entrance.
