PSI advocates for the needs of our members, which represent 47 state agencies and hundreds of local government officials. By shifting responsibility for the management of end-of-life consumer products from governments to producers,
our efforts can save your agency considerable amounts of money. PSI membership also saves your agency staff resources and time, as we conduct research that incorporates global knowledge and best practices that you can learn from.
As a PSI member, you will form the core of PSI’s government agency coalition that shares information and ideas. This unified government voice will be represented by PSI in all stakeholder negotiations in the product stewardship field.

some of those savings back into PSI so that we can reap even more financial and environmental benefits.

PSI gave us the keys to success for New York State’s growing number of product stewardship programs. We never have to reinvent the wheel -- we can tap into their national network, research, and policy models to learn from other

PSI brought the concept of product stewardship to Nebraska, but they did not impose it on us. Rather, they worked collaboratively with government agencies and business interests so that we could implement the concept of product

a healthy environment for our citizens.
